Peach Float

Peach Float

If you are going to make peach ice cream you will need...PEACHES! Go figure. The first thing you'll want to do is wash and cut your peaches. After you have done this you will want to put them in the freezer.

Now, to make this ice cream you will need to have a Vitamix or an extremely powerful blender. Otherwise it will be really difficult to make. There are a bunch of different types of blenders but the one we have is perfect for this recipe! Our Vitimix even has an ice cream setting which is called "Frozen deserts". When your peaches are frozen put them in your Vitamix and add just a little bit of milk.

How many peaches should you use? Use about 2 peaches per person. So if you are making it for only you, use 2. If you are making it for 3 people use 6, etc. Put your ice cream in a container and add a few raspberries over the top and put it in the freezer.

Because it is float you will need soda. This isn't exactly "soda" But has a similar taste to an izze. (also, if you feel like skipping this part you can just use an izze ;)

If you are going to make this "soda" you will need:

*cranberry juice - I used unsweetened

*sparkeling water - I like La Croix cranberry sparkling water (this is also unsweetened)

*Dole pineapple juice - this is crucial because it adds much needed sweetness (but you don't have to use Dole)

You will combine all of these to taste. Some people like everything super sweet while others don't like much sweetener at all. So this is all to your specific desires.

To add freshness to your drink you will need fruit! Any kind you'd like! I used raspberries, black berries, blue berries, and strawberries. To top it off I used a little bit of basil too.

Scoop some ice cream into a glass and poor your soda over until it reaches about an inch under the rim of your glass. Add another scoop of your peach ice cream and add a bunch of fruit and a little basil!

*Frozen peaches - You are probably going to want to cut and freeze these yourself so that you can measure them in whole peaches. Meaning if you are going to make enough ice cream for 5 people you will want 9 or 10 peaches. About 2 peaches per person.

*Vitamix - you will need either a Vitamix or a blender with the same strength

*Cranberry juice - sweetened or unsweetened

*Sparkeling water - unsweetened

*Dole pineapple juice

*Berries - rasberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, ect.
