Viva Las Vegas
Vegas is the only city in the world where you can see the Statue of Liberty, go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, ride in a gondola, and walk around inside of a glass pyramid all within 24 hours, making it the perfect spot for a short weekend getaway and affording its guests the easy luxury of seeing much without traveling far.
We have been to Las Vegas three times in the last three years and would say without a doubt, that the hotel we stayed in this trip was the best one yet. The Elara by Hilton, is tucked away on the Strip giving us the best of both worlds, a retreat from the hub of the city and easy accessibility to Vegas' main attractions. Nearly everything was in walking distance and so it made visiting our favorite spots super easy.
Serendipity 3 is one of our favorite spots for A quick bite to eat, but keep in mind it's usually pretty busy, so we make an effort to stop by a little before or after rush hour. If you're wondering what to order, we highly recommend ordering the Asian Chicken Salad for a lighter lunch or if you are looking for something a bit more indulgent, the Deep Fried Oreos & Ice Cream Sunday is the best. Only, make sure you have extra spoons, this dessert is definantly one to share!
Without a doubt, we all agree that the Bellagio Water Show is one of Vegas' best features and it's always free. However, if you're looking for a bit more of an experience, you can purchase tickets from the Paris Hotel and Casino and take an elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower to get a bird's eye view of Vegas and if you time it right, the Bellagio Water Show. We were lucky enough to catch an entire water show and even more fortunate that we could faintly hear that they played one of our favorite scores, Camille Saint-Saens, The Swan from The Carnival of the Animals.
